The product concept was not relevant to exploring the celestial body and/or the presenter did not seem to have thought through the concept enough to answer questions in a knowledgeable way. The concept did not seem to give any benefit to the Sharks for investment or to the human population.

Concept Development

Product concept was relevant to exploring the celestial body, had a chance of actually working, and did seem it might bring the Sharks some return money on their investments. Product has some possible benefit to the human population.

The presentation was confusing or disorganized, the presenter stumbled over the pronunciation of words and was not able to give definitions for the words they used in their presentation. It seems as though the presenter did not practice the presentation before sharing it with the Sharks.

The presentation had a couple areas that were unclear or confusing.  The presenter stumbled over the pronunciation of some of the words they used in their presentation but was able to explain all of the words they used in the presentation. The presenter needed to practice more before presenting for the Sharks

Presentation

The presentation was crystal clear.  The presenter did not stumble through the pronunciation of words in their presentation. They were able to explain all of the words they used.  It was clear that the presenter practiced the presentation to perfection before presenting to the Sharks. 

Persuasive Portion

Fewer than 3 persuasive techniques were used effectively, or were hard to identify during the presentation. The persuasive techniques were stated, rather than implemented.

At least 3 of the persuasive techniques were effective and clearly demonstrated, but not all were implemented correctly. but still succeeded in using persuasive techniques. 

4 persuasive techniques were clearly demonstrated and used effectively throughout the presentation. and the persuasive techniques were implemented effectively.  

Presentation was too short (under 3 minutes) or too long (more than 7 minutes). 

Presentation was slightly short (just under 4 minutes) or went slightly longer (6 minutes).

Presentation was between 4 and 6 minutes long.

Marketing Plan

The marketing plan does not cover all aspects required, and/or only minimally addresses how the product was modified with SCAMPER

 The marketing plan describes the product and addresses most aspects of SCAMPER, but does not include detailed descriptions. 

The marketing plan includes thorough and detailed descriptions, explains all aspects required, and clearly explains every possible way of using or not using parts of SCAMPER to promote the product.

Print Advertisement

The advertisement is not a full page or is not neatly done. It does not use at least 1 of the 2 persuasive claims or techniques effectively. The ad has more than a two errors.   

The advertisement may not fill a whole page or seems incomplete. However, it does include at least 1 of the 2 required persuasive techniques or claims. The ad has no more than one error.  

 The print ad is a full page and is neatly hand drawn or designed on a computer; may be in color or black and white; effectively uses at least 2 types of techniques from both the persuasive techniques. The ad is free of errors.
